Description The course Studies in Applied Mathematics starts with the study of mathematical notions, concepts, principles, and phenomena which are of wide use in general science and relate or unify various disciplines. The core of the course concerns the notions, principles and their applications to different problems of Mechanics with special emphasis on non-linear mechanics, thermomechanical coupling effects, thermoelectromechanics, solitones, and wave propagation in micro- and nanostructured materials.
